Church: Modern
Robert V. Wodzinski ![]() Juror's Comments: (Selected by juror as Best in Show)Why? "The use of color/ texture and the abstract portrayal of the idea" (Selected as Best Concept) "The relation of church to nature reminds me of Thoreau, and the use of light as the divine force and ultimate subject portrayed through neon shards of glass is a new and different way of seeing it." Artist's Statement The project is forest,
glass, and color. The idea is light and
transformation. My aim is to suspend shape
specific pieces of neon colored glass from trees in a small wooded area. A path would lead the viewer to the
concentrated area which will ideally seem to be an altar of sorts, a
new church in nature; one that represents a progressive and changing
perception of consciousness. Contact the artist:openorganone@hotmail.com back |
