cherry-flavored soap and nylons

This work is a commentary on how modesty can increase objectification of the body. The use of soap is a metaphor for purity. The addition of cherry flavoring operates on two contradictory levels making the legs both more virginal and more fit for consumption. With flavored soap one is both punished and rewarded for literally consuming it. The pink is vibrant- a signal of sexuality and raw youth. The inclusion of the nylons alludes to fetish and the vulnerable nature of the figure- making the legs appear even more naked and cornered.
